I'll have to teach my children the word "crotchety." That will give them an alternative for their current descriptions of my perpetual (according to them) bad moods!

You are so cute. I think you sound like a fabulous mom, your kids wouldn't love each other as much as they obviously do if not.

You seem way better than a celebrity mom to me. Celebrity moms are not home every single day teaching and loving their children. Yes, even the yelling and fussing is loving. Your home sounds normal to me. Cookie Crisp is good dry with some cheddar cheese cubes as a snack -just saying. :-)

Oh, your story sounds just like ones I have experienced only with one child and a husband creating the chaos.
School began last Thursday for the Bugs. For years she has had a bit of a problem getting her school stuff organized the night before and, of course, I have always managed to do it for her. But not this year! Nope, she is on her own and you can bank she is chasing her tail, so to speak, each and every morning. Kind of funny actually.
And she can't seem to find her shoes in the mornings...yep, they are right where she left them!

Okay ... here's a "mom question" for you... I'm 1 weeks pregnant, and my biggest fear is that, not only will I be asking my children to pick up their shoes, but I'll also be asking their equally scatter-brained and forgetful father to pick up his shoes, too. Okay, his shoes, his socks, his magazines, his screw driver that he used two weeks ago that is still sitting on the kitchen counter... but I digress.

After 15 years of marriage and a whole lot of pleading, I'm slowly coming to realize that my husband won't be setting stelar examples for his kids on picking up after himself!

So the question is... Did you have to train the dad first? Or did he come trained?
