I can never get over that “Tonight thank God it’s them instead of you” line. It just grates on me. While it’s fine to be thankful that you aren’t suffering, why thank God that someone else *is*?

I know what you mean about the tree, I got up early to put the lights on because I want them done a certain way - mine go round and round, starting as close to the trunk as possible all the way up and down and then going out a little further each time I go up and down the tree.

I was in the middle of this process this weekend, and my husband yelled down the stairs for me to say something, apparently I had gotten up so early, my german sheperd (who feels he needs to “guard” me all the time) was unaware of my whereabouts and had been head-butting all the upstairs doors to find me. Once I shouted, Clyde (the shepherd not my husband) found me and took up his post for the day.

For music, I like the Nutcracker, played it all weekend - but I may have to investigate some other options. Thanks for the suggestions and keep the funny posts coming!

If you want your boys to be the next Hanson, then I suggest finding a copy of their christmas album ;). It’s called Snowed In. It’s actually my mom’s favorite christmas CD.

At least you only had Bananarama hair and Jody Watley lipstick! When Karma Chameleon was out, I…I…I spent weeks dressed like Boy George. I had multiple-braided hair with ribbons and shiny things woven in. I wore shirts that came to my knees with goofy vests over the top. I wanted to *be* Boy George. I was 13.

I also had a very patient mother!
