Welcome

Welcome to the new site!  I’m still in the “working out the bugs stages” which computer geeks call “beta.”

In that light, let me warn you that I’m not completely tagged and archived, although I hope to be by tomorrow.  If you see bugs, shoot me an email at anneglamoreATgmailDOTcom.
More importantly, if you know about WordPress and terms like FTP, Plugin, and The Loop mean anything to you, identify yourself immediately.  Will trade recipes, parenting tips, and book suggestions for technological help.

  1. Dang it Glamore, you know I’ll follow you anywhwere but why we gotta keep moving around like this?

Geeze louise, grumble grumble… well okay, is this the new new place then? Shall I change my link thingy? You kids and your new fangled technology…

And, no, sorry, I do not know any of those words; FTP sounds like the floral delivery service, Plugins are those Glade frangrance dealios, and The Loop is a beach where I’m from. So… sorry. Completely useless.

    But quite the fan. ;)

  2. Love the new digs! Great header!

My dear husband is a WordPress expert, so feel free to shoot me questions and I will force him to answer them. Good luck!

  3. Looks great in here!

  4. Looks great. I’ve updated my link and am ready to start seeing new exciting stories. May the boys be mischevious! But not too much:)

    I’ll be back!

  5. The new site looks awesome!

  6. Looks fabuloso! Which translates roughly to looks fabulous! I’m updating my Everything Anne file!

  7. I’m a lurker, finally coming clean! I love that you eat a real home cooked dinner every night- I’m 26 and training my boyfriend to be accustomed to the same. As long as you keep posting recipes like the bowtie peas and proscuitto pasta, and keep enforcing my belief that I should birth boys, I’m a reader! Welcome to your new home!

  8. ohh nice digs, is that new carpet? Awww you put the laundry away just for us? Oh well it will be back by tommorrow, eh?

gotta tell you I folded two playpens full of washed clothes this morning. I will put them away..later, I swear!

as for the ads, go for it, I hope you get lots of $$ with it. do we need to click anything?

  9. Love the new digs! I’ll update my link sometime this week.

    Esp. love the new header.

  10. Um…yeah. Forgot to say it looks good. Love the header dealio up there. And let us know how the ads work out. I wanted to try that but I chickened out at the last moment. But yeah. Looks good; not that I expected less. ;)

  11. Nice looking site - that’s a cute header up there. I’ve been lurking at the old site for a while, found you at ivillage. I’m a SAHM/freelancer in MO, with a 2nd grade boy and another on the way- so I really enjoy your stories about your boys. Kinda gives me a heads up for what I can expect from mine!

  12. I know ALL about the FTP and the plugins and you already have my email :) I know a bit about the CSS stuff, but the loop? Oh that’s hard core. But the offer still stands, I’ll help if I can :)

  13. O.k., you wait just long enough for me to forget how to update the html settings on MY blog, and then you change your blog address. So I then have to once again consult the ineffectual help menu to find out how to update your link. I worship the ground you walk on, but could you stay put for a while now? Loved the NY trip and all the dirty pictures. I hope you take another trip soon so I can live vicariously.

Welcome to the Kingdom

I'm Anne Glamore, wife, mother, lawyer and blogger. I have three boys, and I'm desperately trying to train them to become Southern gentlemen, but that may be an unrealistic goal. At this point I'd be ecstatic if they'd quit farting at the dinner table. If you're new here, check out the Readers' Favorite Posts below or browse through the Categories. I write about my attempts to teach the boys about peckers and sex (which we call "making googly eyes"), my struggles with hepatitis C and spine surgery, the boys' adventures with fire and pets, my mom's death from ovarian cancer, my love of cooking (with plenty of recipes) and anything else that crosses my mind. What I'm Reading

This book is told from an alcoholic's point of view. It provides insight into the disease, rehab and AA. Well worth reading if you're close to a severe alcoholic.

I've never read any of his fiction, but his book about the craft of writing was awesome.

Hey, I have a story in this book about how I'm not always the best mom. It's guaranteed to make you feel better about yourself, especially the part where I throw stuff at Finn.

I put this golden oldie here because I love it and if you haven't read it you're missing out.

    The Boys Are Loving

I heard Rick Riordan interviewed on NPR and went directly to the library to get these books. Porter absolutely adored them-- they were by far the biggest hit of the year.

Drew and Porter are fighting over these books. Enough said.

I didn't think Porter would like this, but I was desperate for him to read something, so I shoved it at him and it was a WINNER.

Hooray-- there's a sequel to the original Diary. The guys are snarfing it up.

Porter finished all the Harry Potter books so I started him on A Wrinkle In Time, and he's enjoying it. I bought the whole set so he'd have plenty to read for the next few months.
