Oh holy hell, birds are as bad as snakes and rodents and bugs - You are a much better (and nicer) person than I am.

Karyn's last blog post..The Greatest Love Of All

Cute bird! I would love to have birds, but my four feral cats wouldn't be able to stand it and we'd truly have a Sylvester/Tweety house x4. It would be miserable and any poor bird I bring in the house would be driven crazy. But I've told my husband that the minute the last cat passes away I'm TOTALLY getting a bird.

I loved the dish washer soap picture as well. It brings back memories of when my daughter dumped a bottle of shampoo in the bath tub and let the water run. The entire bathtub was full of soap bubbles--all the way up to the ceiling! I walked in after she "cleaned it up", and noticed soap bubbles on the floor behind the toilet. Then I noticed them up the wall. Then I noticed them on the ceiling in the tub. And that was when I called the daughter into the bathroom for an explanation. My only regret is that I didn't actually see soap bubbles filling the back half of the bathroom. That must have been a sight!

Love the dishwasher flood. When I was 14 I spent a summer babysitting my two young cousins in their home. One week my aunt seemed particularly overwhelmed so I tried to help out with some household chores. I had never used a dishwasher. I used Dawn. Actually, I used a LOT of Dawn. Big flood. My aunt and uncle were up all night mopping.

Hehe...when I read "amatuer ornithologist" at first I thought it said "amateur orthodontist."

I think the parakeet thing sounds much safer than having him messing with this brothers' teeth.

Oooh, birds are fun! I had a parakeet when I was younger, and we now have a cockatiel. Just tell him to watch out for bird kisses - they can hurt. ;)
